Quick answer

Meigu Lake has two of the five Long Pillars, 30 Memory Flowers and the optional boss Zhu Yuan, who is required for the True Ending. Finish Secrets at the Heart of the Lake before entering Mirage Estate. Everything else can be collected in free roam after the story.

On this page

Meigu Lake is built around docks, so getting around feels different from the regions before it. It carries a lot of True Ending work: several purple tales, two Long Pillars and one of the two optional Blade Masters.

What to know before you start

  • Two Long Pillars are here: Meigu Lake East and the Phantom Illusionist Ruins.
  • Finish Secrets at the Heart of the Lake in time. It's both a required purple tale and a missable trophy.
  • Defeat Zhu Yuan. He's optional for the story but required for the True Ending.
