How to start New Game Plus
New Game Plus becomes available after you finish the game and the credits roll. You don't get a pop-up for it. Instead, you start NG+ by talking to a specific character at a specific location, which you can reach by fast travel from any bell.

Speak to Inanis at the Puppet Cell on the Mountain of Imprisonment. Fast travel there from any bell after the credits.
What carries over and what resets
| Carries over | Resets |
|---|---|
| Equipment: main weapons, Phantom Edges, accessories | Quests |
| Progression items | Maps |
| Ability training (your skill progression) | Key items |
| Archives (lore and records you've collected) | Remaining days (the 66-day count starts again) |
This list comes from PCGamesN's hands-on guide. The developer hasn't published an official carryover table, so if a patch changes anything we'll update this page.

Is NG+ harder?
Yes. PCGamesN describes NG+ as "an even more perilous journey through the Wulin." The director also said late-game weapons are meant to be usable in NG+ and in Sixty-Six Days mode, so expect enemies tuned for a fully equipped Soul.
Is there anything new in NG+?
According to director Soulframe Liang, nothing new is hidden behind New Game Plus. You won't find exclusive story scenes or endings there. Replay it for the challenge, to finish side quests you missed, or to see the other ending (see below).
Do you need NG+ for achievements or the True ending?
- Achievements: No. The director says the full set can be earned in one run on any difficulty, and none of the 66 Steam achievements require NG+. See the achievement list.
- True ending: Not strictly. According to PowerPyx, the True ending replaces the Normal ending if you finish the right side quests before the story cutoffs. If you missed them, NG+ is your second chance, because quests reset. See the endings guide.
NG+ vs. Sixty-Six Days mode
They are separate things:
| New Game Plus | Sixty-Six Days | |
|---|---|---|
| Unlocks | After the credits | After finishing the game once |
| Your gear | Carries over | Separate save file |
| Difficulty | Harder enemies | Hellwalker-level AI |
| Deaths | Unlimited | 66 in total, then the run ends |

Before you start NG+
- Finish the side quests you care about. Quest progress resets.
- Write down what you missed. Use the achievement list as a checklist.
- Upgrade a favorite weapon. Upgrades carry over, and a fully upgraded weapon makes NG+ much easier.
